Connect thru Art offers
free art and pottery classes for
​​military-connected community members.

Being affiliated with the military comes with unique challenges. At the Virginia Beach Art Center, we believe that exploring your creativity can help you face those challenges. ​

Connect thru Art is a free program designed exclusively for military-connected members of our community. Thanks to a generous grant, we can offer these classes at no cost to you. Connect thru Art will give you the opportunity to connect with others who are also military-affiliated.  
Important things to know:
  • Connect thru Art classes are free and supplies are included.
  • Eligible participants include Active Duty, Guardsmen, Reservists, Retirees, Veterans, Dependents, and members of a Family Readiness Group (FRG). If you are unsure that you qualify, please contact us.
  • Each class has two sessions and participants are expected to attend both classes.
  • Open to ages: 8+. If a participant is under 18, they must be accompanied by a qualifying adult. One adult may accompany up to 2 children.
  • ​If you have a disability, please contact us so we can do our best to accommodate your needs.
  • To register you will need the name, phone number, email, and date of birth for each participant.
  • All participants are expected to complete a follow up survey.
  • Participation is limited to one Connect thru Art class per person.
  • If you must cancel, inform us no less than 5 days in advance to be eligible to participate in a future class. 
  • No-shows will not be allowed to register for a future class. ​
