Exhibitions in the Brock Gallery

There is always new art gracing the walls of the Brock Gallery! Here you will find the best that local and regional artists have to offer. Each month a new exhibition theme will take you into the minds of the artists and how they interpret the world around them.

While you visit, pick up our self-guided Art Talk to help you and your friends as you view and assess the art. Changing monthly themes guarantee that you'll find fresh and new eye candy each time you visit!

Join us on the First Friday of each month for the opening receptions. You'll meet and chat with artists, listen to the juror and get the insider's experience of art in Virginia Beach. Use the exhibition calendar below to plan your First Fridays for the rest of the year!

2026 Exhibitions Calendar

February: Retrospective at Towne Pavilion Center 1
Our first exhibit of the year at our satellite location will contain a retrospective body of work by artists that have exhibited at the center in 2025. Artists may submit any work that has graced the walls of our main gallery in 2025, 2024 or 2023. (Works shown in any satellite exhibition are not eligible for this exhibit.)
The theme is open to any interpretation and if the artist wishes to create something new, they may if they exhibited with us in the past 3 years. For those who create in 3D your work must be able to hang from a wall.
Submission Closed

March: Monochromatic
What if you could only use one color to express yourself? What would it be? How would you manipulate that color to create values and tones that convey what you are trying to say? Use texture to see how the eye perceives color change through shadow and light. Challenge yourself in this exercise of restraint and pure creativity.
Submission Closed
