Submission Deadline: October 15

Drop off: November 2, 11 am-5 pm

In-Gallery Viewing:  November 5-13
Bidding Ends: Saturday November 13, 9 pm
Pick up of Purchased Items:  Sunday November 14, 12-4 pm
Pick up of Unpurchased Items:  Sun. Nov. 14 and Tues. Nov. 16

Items for donation may include original fine art, fine art prints (valued at $75 or more), vintage jewelry, high-end collectibles and small estate items.  If unsure, please contact us for advice.

Liability and Permission:
By submitting your donation, you understand and agree to the following:
  • You are transferring ownership of the item to the Virginia Beach Art Center.
  • The Virginia Beach Art Center and The Artists Gallery are not responsible and cannot be held liable for any damages to artworks/items during and after this exhibition. 
  • The Art Center will use images of the item(s) for marketing purposes.

Drop Off:
The drop off is Tuesday, November 2, 10am- 5pm.  No works will be accepted after Tuesday at 5 pm. If you cannot drop off on Tuesday, please arrange for an EARLY drop off the Sunday before.

Posters and postcards/handouts will be available at drop off.

Opening Events:   (Updates on Covid-19 Protocol will be available before the event)
Gallery Open:  Friday November 5, from 10 am - 5 pm 
Reception:  Friday November 5, 6-8 pm

PICK UP:
Pick up for purchased art will be on Sunday November 14th, 12 -4 pm.  
Art not sold may be picked up November 14th, 12-4pm or on the 16th, 10am-5pm.

GENERAL RULES
  • This is a curated auction, not all works may be accepted.
  • All works must be free of copyright infringement. 
  • Artworks, mats and frames should be in good and clean condition.
  • Works must be labeled on back with donor name, title, artist, medium, price, name and phone number.
  • Size and weight limitations:  Width of 2D works is limited to 50 inches and 40 pounds or less.  The base of 3D works may not be more than 36" square.  Any 3D works over 40 lb. must be installed and moved by the artist.  Any exceptions to these limitations will be made on a case by case basis.  Please contact the exhibition coordinator before submitting.  
  • WIRE INSTRUCTIONS: All two-dimensional works must have a tight hanging wire, three inches down from the top of the frame.  Wire must be attached to the frame and not the backing.  No sawtooth hangers.   -NO EXCEPTIONS
  • Works requiring special installation must be cleared in advance.
  • All works will be on the auction website and for sale throughout the duration of the auction.
  • VBAC is a community gallery.  All artwork should be suitable for viewers of all ages.
  • While staff and volunteers take great care with the artworks, the Virginia Beach Art Center and The Artists Gallery are not responsible and cannot be held liable for any damages to artworks before, during or after this exhibition.
  • ​Submitting your images is an indication that you give the Art Center permission to use images of the art for the online exhibition and for promotional purposes.
