Spring Market Event
The Virginia Beach Art Center will be hosting two days of Spring Markets the weekend prior to Mother's Day. The event is designed to bring in customers that will shop one-of-a-kind gifts for MOM. We invite all artists to apply and be part of the market weekend.

Market Dates: Saturday May 2 - 3, 2026

Spring Market Description:
Artists are invited to apply to sell their works on tables provided by the center. There will be 8 - 6-foot tables available to rent for one day or both days of the event at $30 per day. To apply fill out the form on this page. Vendors will keep all proceeds from their sales. A limit of one table for vendor is imposed for this event so to give others an opportunity to showcase their art.

Special Rules:    

• The center will provide vendors with 6' tables with tablecloths at $30 per day. Once your application has been reviewed you will be notified by the center and will pay your fee. 
• There is a limit of one table per vendor for the Spring Market Event.
• Fill out the application on this page and provide photos of the merchandise you plan to sell at the center.
• We are looking for unique one-of-a-kind art that will be perfect as a Mother's Day gift.
• Eight 6' tables will be provided with 4 in the front gallery and 4 in the Jean Rawls classroom. The tables will be assigned via a raffle. When you arrive at the center the morning of the event you will pick from a jar a piece of folded paper which will have a number corresponding to the table location.

Eligibility: 

• Open to Local/Regional Artists aged 18 or older.

Entry Fee: 

• $30 for each table and day, a total of $60 if you choose Saturday and Sunday.
• The center will provide flyers that can be picked up the closer we get to the event day. Specially designed signs will direct customers to the classroom area and smaller events taking place within the gallery will also bring in foot traffic. If weather permits, we will have a tent outside providing customers with information about the event. 
• The event is indoors and you will be surrounded by beautiful art and the exhibition for the month of May will be Feminine Spirit, perfect for Mother's Day.

GENERAL RULES

• ​Submitting your images is an indication that you give the Virginia Beach Art Center permission to use images of your art for promotional purposes.
• The center is a family-oriented business so all art must be suitable for all ages.
• Vendors will arrive at 8:30am on Saturday May 2nd to setup their tables. A raffle will be held from where vendors will pick their table numbers which will correspond with the location of their table. Vendors may just participate for one day or both if they choose.
• Event will run Saturday May 2 and Sunday May 3, 10 am - 5pm.
• Event will end on Sunday May 3 at 5pm.
• Include photos of your merchandise. You may group together within each provided box.
• You will be notified by Friday April 17 of your accepted applications. Vendors that apply early will receive faster responses. 
• If the event fills up early, we will notify everyone that the submission call is closed. However, if you apply and someone chooses not to participate, we will contact the next person inline.
• Giftable items appropriate for Mother's Day are strongly encouraged. Ideas are, frames, pottery, jewelry, art, sculptures, handmade items that are unique and one of a kind, handmade cards for Mom, in short anything Mom would love to have that is an expression of love.
• HOW TO APPLY: Fill out the form and give us an idea of what you plan to sell. Use the file box to upload photos of your merchandise. Let us know your price range and in the statement box just a brief description of you plan to bring.
• The tables are $30 per day, and you can reserve up to 2 days for a total of $60 for the weekend. You keep all the proceeds from your sales and get to be indoors and enjoy the art in the gallery.
