Holiday Boutique Market '26
The Virginia Beach Art Center is ecstatic to announce it will be hosting two weekends of Holiday Boutique Markets. The first weekend will be Black Friday November 27, Small Business Weekend Saturday November 28, and Sunday November 29. The second weekend will be Saturday December 12, and Sunday December 13. 
This is a great opportunity to introduce your art to budding collectors in search of the perfect holiday gift either for a loved one, friend or themselves. The Holiday Boutique Market has been an integral part of the center for many years, and this year is its second return as a market. In a world full of cookie cutter gifts our patrons come to us for unique and one-of-a-kind art that cannot be found anywhere else, so join us on either of the weekends mentioned above and as a bonus be surrounded by beautiful art created by local artists from Hampton Roads.

Holiday Boutique Market: 
Artists are invited to apply to sell their works on tables provided by the center. There will be 8 - 6-foot tables available to rent for one weekend at a time. To apply fill out the form on this page. Vendors will keep all proceeds from their sales. A limit of one table per vendor is imposed for this event so to give others an opportunity to showcase their art. Please fill out the selected weekend on the form so we know the dates you are submitting for. The weekend after Thanksgiving is Black Friday and Small Business Weekend, great time to catch those first holiday shoppers searching for unique gifts.

Special Rules:    

• The center will provide vendors with 6' tables with tablecloths at $100 for the first weekend being held 11/27, 11/28, and 11/29. A secondary weekend in December will be on 12/12, and 12/13 for $75 for the weekend. Each table will have a tablecloth and chair provided by the center. You may add your own banner or business signage to the table.
• Tables are available for the full weekends only. We are not offering one day tables for the holiday boutique market.
• Once your application has been submitted there will be a jury selection and selected artists will be notified on Friday 9/11 via email and also posted at the top of this page in the SELECTED ARTISTS BUTTON.
• There is a limit of one table per vendor for the Holiday Boutique Market.
• Fill out the application on this page and provide photos of the art/unique gifts you plan to sell at the center. Take great photos so we can clearly see what you are submitting. 
• We are looking for unique one-of-a-kind art that will be perfect as a holiday gift.
• Eight 6' tables will be provided with 4 in the front gallery and 4 in the Jean Rawls classroom (this is the only size table we are offering this year). The tables will be assigned via a raffle. When you arrive at the center the morning of the event you will pick from a jar a piece of folded paper which will have a number corresponding to the table location. First day of the event is setup day so please arrive by 8:30am so we can raffle off the tables. The raffle will not begin until all vendors are at the center.
• Setting up your Art and Unique Gifts: You may bring portable walls that nudge into the tables and build up your presentation as you normally do for other events you participate in, but all presentations must be kept tight, neat with nothing on the floor. Wrapping paper and boxes may be kept underneath but all other items such as storage boxes must be stored in your vehicles so that we keep the aesthetic presentations of the gallery intact. The holiday boutique is an inside event, and you are surrounded by a monthly exhibit in the main gallery and the classroom. Nothing can lean on walls or get in the way of the collectors shopping experience. Your submission to this event serves as an acknowledgement that you will adhere to the rules and guidelines of the center.

Eligibility: 

• Open to Local/Regional Artists aged 18 or older.

Entry Fee: 

• Once selected for the Holiday Boutique Market you will receive a payment form from us. First weekend is $100 for 3 days and second weekend is $75 for 2 days.
• The center will provide flyers that can be picked up the closer we get to the event day. Specially designed signs will direct customers to the classroom area and smaller events taking place within the gallery will also bring in foot traffic. If weather permits, we will have a tent outside providing customers with information about the event. 
• The event is indoors and you will be surrounded by beautiful art and the exhibition for the month of November will be Figure it Out and in December it will be Step Out.

GENERAL RULES

• ​Submitting your images is an indication that you give the Virginia Beach Art Center permission to use images of your art for promotional purposes.
• The center is a family-oriented business so all art must be suitable for all ages.
• Vendors will arrive at 8:30am on the first day of each designated weekend to setup their tables. A raffle will be held from where vendors will pick their table numbers which will correspond with the location of their table. Vendor must arrive by 8:30am on setup dates. Raffle will not begin until all vendors are in the building.
• Events will run Friday 11/27 - Sunday 11/29 and Saturday 12/12 - 12/13. 10am - 5pm on all days unless times are changed prior to the event taking place.
• Include well lite photos of your art. You may group together within each provided box. We choose the art that will grace our posters so put your best foot forward when photographing.
• You will be notified by Friday September 11 via email and at the top of this page.
• Giftable items appropriate for Holiday Gifting are strongly encouraged. Ideas are, frames, pottery, jewelry, art, sculptures, handmade items that are unique and one of a kind.
• HOW TO APPLY: Fill out the form and upload photos of your unique gifts and art. Let us know your price range and in the statement box just a brief description of you plan to bring.
• The tables are $100 for the first weekend starting on Black Friday and $75 the second weekend taking place in December. You keep all the proceeds from your sales and get to be indoors and enjoy the art in the gallery.
